Saudi Police Arrested More than 4,000 Beggars from Masjid Al-Haram

During Ramadan, Saudi Arabia has seen an increase in the number of beggars, leading establishments to take action. According to Arab media reports, Saudi police have interned over 4,000 beggars near Masjid al-Haram and moved them to police stations. These beggars will be sent back to their home nations after legal actions are completed.

The Saudi Ministry of Interior allotted a statement urging a crackdown on begging, citing concerns about security fears posed by professional beggars. They also informed against giving charity to beggars, as they may be part of illicit groups.

Additionally, the ministry mentioned plans to conduct alike operations near other holy sites like Masjid al-Nabawi major mosques.
