For those who face economic restrictions for higher education, creativity will provide 1,000 scholarships over a decade to talented young people in sub-Saharan Africa.
Scholarship Funding
At the University of Makerere, the MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program offers important advantages to its receivers, planned to ensure that they can follow their studies without economic hardship and are prepared to become leaders in their communities. The basic advantages or funds of this scholarship are given below:
- Reporting of Full Tuition: During the educational program of the scholar the scholarship covers the full cost of tuition fees, certifying that economic walls do not stop brilliant students from chasing higher education.
- Housing and Teatimes: To certify a comfortable living situation that allows them to focus on their studies scholars receive help from university housing or room, along with teatime plans.
